Minutes of the Bathalad Meeting @The Pantry in Gallery, Mabolo March 17, 2012 5 pm to 6:30 Attendees: Ionnes Arong Dodong Morallo Josua Cabrera Radel Paredes Jeremaiah Bondoc Karla Quimsing AGENDA: I.                    WEBSITE a.       The official website of Bathalad, www.bathalad.com is already up and running since February 27. 2012. b.      Pictures of the March Poetry Reading, in cooperation with Josua Cabrera during his solo exhibit "Kal-ang" is already posted on the website. c.       Bathalad Logo on the website should be changed to BATHALAN-ONG Halad sa Dagang. d.      Bathalad Contest Winners post on website needs to be corrected. Maiah will sms the correct content to Romeo. e.      Directory of Members on the website will be posted by Romeo. It will include member's email-address and mobile number (optional). II.                  BOOK PROJECTS a.       Submission for the E-Book is extended until April 15. b.      Pablo John Garcia pledges to finance a book publication for Bathalad. Maiah will author the book proposal. III.                POETRY READINGS a.       The Cebu Arts Council February 23 reading at Abellana is done; pictures may be viewed on the Arts Council FB Page. b.      The Cebu Arts Council March 2 reading in CNU was cancelled and was re-scheduled. It will be on the next academic year but there is no specific date yet. Ioannes Arong will be one of the readers. c.       The tentative venue for the April Reading is in Maribago Blue Water. This is in collaboration with national artist Ben Cabrera. The theme is summer poems and Earth Day. d.      Regular Poetry Readings in Handuraw is every 3rd Saturday of the Month if there are no special readings. e.      Pablo John Garcia invites Bathalad to join the Aloguinsan Cultural Festival this July. Plans and schedule are to be discussed in the coming meetings. IV.                FINANCES a.       Josua is donating 10% of his exhibit sales to Bathalad. b.      Implementation of Membership Fee is suspended until the bylaws are reviewed and revised. c.       Karla is yet to get the financial documents from Bambi and with Nancy’s help,  come-up with a financial report template d.      Bathalad financial statements will be posted on the website every quarter. e.      Expenses this 2012 first quarter (as of March 17) includes: Kal-ang Buffet Php 2,000 and website domain name Php 500. V.                  SEC REGISTRATION a.       Noel is yet to give an update on the SEC Registration. VI.                BUSINESS ARISING a.       Sunstar Superbalita invites Bathalad to be featured in the magazine's literary section. b.      It was agreed that the Arts Council reading and Kal-ang Exhibit are the events to be featured. Dodong will grab pictures from the Arts Council FB page and Nancy will e-mail the pics to Maiah who will forward it to Dodong. c.       Poems to be featured will be thematic. Maiah will come up with the list of poems. d.      Start archiving Bathalad documents: photos, videos, moa, memorabilia etc. Schedule for the next meeting: March 31, Saturday, The Pantry in The Gallery @ 4:30 pm  Prepared by: Karla Approved by: Maiah
