BATHALAD MEETING
2/5/2012

AGENDA:

SEC Registration (c/o Noel)

·         The organization shall set objectives (mission and vision) for future references and shall be the basis of the actions taken by the organization.

·         Turnover of the organization’s official documents and financial reports from the previous officers to the new set of officers shall be done before the next meeting (February 25). Documents shall be given to the President and the Financial Report to the Treasurer the soonest.

 Regular Meeting

·         The organization shall have a bimonthly meeting. It shall be on the second and last Saturday of the month, 4:30 PM.

·         The next meeting shall be on February 25 in JY Tablea.

·         The venue of the future meetings are to be announced yet.

Monthly Reading

·         Monthly readings shall be third Saturday of the month, 7-10 PM.

·         For February, the monthly poetry reading shall be on February 11, 7-10PM either in Handuraw or Outpost. Final details shall be posted soon.

·         It shall also be the venue for the Oathtaking of the new set of Officers.

·         February Theme: Imong Atik, Akong Patik

·         There is a plan to create pieces of artwork (bookmark-ish) before Saturday that will serve as an invitation. (c/o Josua and Radel)

·         Emcee: Dodong Morallo

·         Presenters (poets) and intermission numbers are to posted the soonest. It is open to all interested members.

 By-Laws Review

·         The organization’s by-laws are needed by the officers to do this.

·         The organization shall have two Advisers: Nyor Erning Lariosa and Butch Bandillo.

Membership Committee (c/o Josua)

·         This committee shall be composed of Josua (Chairman), Noel and Nancy.

·         The committee shall have guidelines for the selection of new members. The committee shall present the guidelines on the next meeting.

·         There shall be an annual renewal of membership to the organization.

Reading Project with  Arts Council (c/o Maya)

·         In partnership with Cebu Arts Council, the organization shall have the last two (out of five) poetry readings on February 17 (CNU) and February 23 (Abellana). Time shall be posted as soon as the detail is available.

·         The project has been started by the previous term.

·         Aside from the poetry reading, the organization shall also provide the emcee and the intermission number.

·         The agreement was only verbal and did not undergo a MOA.

·         There shall be four readers for the poetry reading. On February 17, the readers shall be Nancy, Karla, Radel and Romeo.

·         Emcee for February 17: Dodong Moralla

·         Intermission: Kris (to be followed up)

Directory of Members

·         For better communication, there shall be an updated directory of members.

·         The directory shall include e-mail and cellphone numbers.

·         The Secretary shall be given a monthly allowance (P 200.00) to text the members about meetings and events (poetry readings) of the organization.

 Social Media Committee (c/o Romeo)

·         The committee shall be composed of Romeo and Karla.

·         The committee shall have a proposal on the next meeting.

·         The following social media platforms are on the list: Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, Youtube

·         The Blogger account of Bathalad shall be the official website of the organization with a new domain (http://bathalan-onghaladsadagang.blogspot.com/)

 E-book (c/o Noel)

·         Communication shall be between Noel and Max Limpag. To set a meeting with him this week. Details shall be discussed on the next meeting.

·         There is a proposal to create an e-book consisting of 20-30 Cebuano poems dealing with Local Folklore.

·         The poems shall be accompanied with artworks by Wawart.

·         There shall be an editorial board for the project.

·         For the book launching, there is a possibility that there shall also be an art exhibit.

 Website

·         The organization shall have an official website with all the undertakings of the organization.

·         Approved Minutes of the Meeting shall be posted on the website.

·         E-books shall be made available for download on the website.
